Breedlove Residence, Columbia, Missouri
Project Description
System: 3 ton Earthlinked System with (3) vertical field loops
Installation date: Spring of 2009
Location: Grasslands area of Columbia, MO
Building size: 2,400 sq. foot total living space (main level plus basement)
Details:
Ground source system installed in the basement mechanical room replaced conventional equipment with over twenty years of operation. A desuperheater and additional water storage tank was added to heat potable water. The old air conditioner appliance located against the house and exterior the front of the building was eliminated - removing both the sight and sounds created by that unit. Drilling the wells was accomplished through solid limestone formations in the front yard. It required very little space and was accomplished in less than a couple days.
Results to date have been very impressive in terms of utility usage while maintaining very comfortable conditions in the house.
